Absolutely awful and yes, the word "grifter" is actually 100% justified in her case.

The early South Park episodes are some of the most devastating critiques of racism I've ever seen. Like, Chef is such a ridiculous character even a full blown KKK racist would probably acknowledge no one like that could possibly exist. And the one where Cartman keeps telling the black guy he can play bass because he's black and then when he picks up a bass guitar a funky bass line magically starts coming out. I think she's got it completely backwards, it's taking the racial stereotypes that people believe in subconsciously and presenting them in a self conscious way to reveal how stupid they are.

It's the same type thing Mel Brooks did in Blazing Saddles, which she probably thinks is offensive too.

I often feel she should speak for herself with the endless spiel about how the white identity is ingrained in her, how she is irreconcilably biased against PoC and discomforted by their presence and that racial sectarianism is the only way to look at the world. Basically, her arguments are mainstreaming white nationalism in liberal clothing.

Dumb, but being a rich white woman makes her an easy target for "woke critical" types. I guess White Fragility was an NYT bestseller so she's influential enough with some people to be an object of criticism, but it feels too easy to knock her down while not saying anything at all.

Obvious HP, but we shouldn't pretend she's important or relevant in discussing the wider issues. And whilst this did not occur to me immediately, Statilius is right to say she's an easy target.

Opponents ignoring these people has not been a strategy that has worked, it's just resulted in them winning by default. They need to be confronted in public and thoroughly discredited and humiliated.
