The racial angle of that attack doesn't work in a state as filled to the brim with pure mayonnaise-coated crackers as Maine (94.8% non-Hispanic white). I don't think it's a coincidence that one very obnoxious right-wing Mainer I knew on a Discord server once was constantly complaining about Lewiston more than any other place in the state, given that it has maybe the state's largest proportion of Black residents among its major settlements.
