I am putting this here, rather than other places, for my own reasons.

Is the best polling that where nobody asks your opinion, the black box just knows, because it knows "everything" about you, if you are so "foolish" to use the internets at least?

I came at peace with all of this, long, long ago. I don't give a damn what people know about me. The fact is, is that most don't a damn what I do. Why should they? Their lives are complicated enough, without wasting their time on me. And it helps if being liked or popular, is less important by far, than doing what you think is right.

In any event, polling is fraught with problems, and is anything but a random sample these days, and thus all the "artificial" weightings, in an ever more complex and fragile perhaps, Rube Goldberg like structure. Is this the silver bullet to make all of that moot, including for curmudgeons like me, who almost never answer the phone unless I know who is calling, or at least think the odds are more likely than not that the call is spam? Almost all the calls from my old area code I know are spam. The bots are just so clever.
