April 12-13
526 likely Democratic primary voters

42% Terry McAuliffe
8% Jennifer Carroll Foy
8% Jennifer McClellan
7% Justin Fairfax
4% Lee Carter
29% Undecided

Favorables:
Lee Carter: 11/5 (+6)
Justin Fairfax: 26/25 (+1)
Jennifer Carroll Foy: 21/2 (+19)
Terry McAuliffe: 59/9 (+50)
Jennifer McClellan: 25/3 (+22)

Interesting crosstabs — Fairfax is at 10% among women but 4% among men, and the vast majority (~80%) of his support comes from minorities.

I still think Terry McAuliffe will be remembered as a good governor who won two close elections.

Yup, McAuliffe pretty much has this unless something drastically happens.

A little annoyed we’re getting T-Mac again when VA definitely could’ve elected a solidly left-wing black woman this November

Name recognition is a helluva drug.

Freedom poll! Go T-Mac!

I wonder whether Carroll Foy has any second thoughts about giving up her seat in the legislature for a gubernatorial run she has literally no chance in? Was that really worth it? She should have run for lt. governor and team up with McAuliffe instead of attacking him for being racist just because he pointed out his experience. She could have gotten more experience under her belt then and run in 2025 with T-Mac's backing. Bad political instincts.

I still think Terry McAuliffe will be remembered as a good governor who won two close elections.

Well, he will for sure be remembered well in comparison to the scandals that came immediately before or after.

Honestly surprised we are seeing a serious attempt at a non-consecutive 2nd term in VA.  I guess with 2 same party senators who are young by senate standards, it's the best way to stay in the game.
