I disagree. Considering I'm from Washington County, they would take thier favorite son candidate... Other than that, Jake has a somewhat accurate map.

I ignored home counties.

You also ignored SoS who is doing second best.

I seriously doubt he did those results based on this forum. He probably did it based on how Pennsylvania would actually vote.

Well still, SoS he should include the whole field of candidates.

He's too liberal for the state as a whole, he wouldn't win any counties.

He might win about 2% of the vote if he's running as a Socialist, which is what party he's in.

I'd win in a '98 Ridge-esque landslide.   Wink

I dunno, Phil... You'd have to actually beat me in the west, and I think I'd be up for the challenge.

Oh, and thanks to Nym for his support.

Perhaps, but I would rally my supporters in Philly and Pittsburgh and secede from the union!

Neat...

a state map (67 counties of awesomeness) would be neat...but I', terrible with paint and PS

Four way race:
J.J./Keystone Phil (GOP)
Colin W./bullmoose (Lib.)
Flyers/Dr. Cynic (Dem.)
Supersoulty/nini (Ind.)

Pike County is rapidly becoming a New York exurb. I wouldn't know it as well as Jake but I doubt that its as conservative as those Alabama counties in the middle of PA, its probably more like Chester County (center-right exurb).

Not yet. Give it 10 years and it's possible. I do hear that they're having quite a problem with crime (not sure if it's just general riff-raff from higher population or Hispanic gangs. One of the two.), but I would still rank it as more conservative than the Philly 'burbs. Certainly, a solid GOP county in any race. Interestingly, it also swung (quite a bit) and trended (less) GOP from 2000 to 2004. Possibly, a 9/11 effect (if you believe in such things).

Prez
2000: 55-42-3
2004: 58-41

Senate
2004: 63-34
2000: 60-38
1998: 66-31

In closing, it's a mix of Monroe and Wayne Counties. But still leaning towards Wayne County.

I think I would take Alleghany, Lawrence, Beaver and Butler, but oh well.

Also, I am originally from Jefferson and Clearfield, so I think I would tak ethose too.  And in a race split like this, I doubt Phil would take Centre... the conservative vote would be all split and it woudl go to Flyers because of the college kids.
