Regular Voting will open at 10 a.m. EDT on Thursday 20 July, 2006 and will close exactly 48 hours later; Only votes in this time frame will be counted. To qualify to vote in this election you must be registered in one of the appropriate States on the eighth day before this election began and be active as defined by Law.

This election will be by preferential voting, described in one of the Acts above. You also have the option of writing in candidates or voting NOTA (None of the Above) if you prefer none of the candidates.

Voting has now concluded (and indeed, did some 4.5 hours ago). A provisional certification will follow shortly in the main elections forum. A full and final certification will posted some time after this.

There were 2 absentee and 9 regular ballots cast.

The vote of Reignman has been discounted as the Department has no record of  him being a registered voter. The vote of Wildcard has been discounted for he remains registered in Rhode Island until 5 August.

There were therefore 9 valid votes

There was one formal candidate and one declared write-in candidate, Jesus and Lewis Trondheim respectively.

The distribution of votes was as follows:

Jesus - 7
Lewis Trondheim - 2

Jesus has a majority and is therefore elected.

This certification is final in all respects unless a court order is issued.
