The Iraqi constitutional map I made, and the maps they have for the Canadian elections were made by me.

That's exactly what I am hopign for! I wanted to create a website, in fact the first serious website ever, completely dedicated to electoral geography of the world where people who are interested in the field can exchange maps, data and so on. For example, a scientist from Germany shared his maps of Bundestag elections and I shared and translated for him some statistics of the October 8th regional elections in Russia (they are available only in the Russian version).

The website is yet to officially open (soon), but the forum is already open, so welcome!

Yes, I'll do that. Too bad I have not found this forum earlier. I've been to the website so many times before but it had never occured to me to look at the forum, I just did not expect to see anything inernational on this website.

Nice site there Smiley

But don't copy the maps in this thread (https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=33767.0). Some alternative outline maps will be made by me at some point (not entirely sure when) and new ones from those; when they get made, you can use them.

There are some other maps that I'd be fine with you using. Wait a sec...

This map shows the leading party, by ward, in the 2002 London Borough elections:

This map shows all wards that elected at least one Labour counciller in the 2006 London Borough elections:

This map shows councillers by ward (accurate as of a few days after the elections; been a few small changes since then)

This one shows the leading party by ward for the 2006 elections:

This one shows the % vote for Labour in the 2006 elections:

And finally (for now), this one shows the results of the first round of the 2004 Mayoral election by ward:

I'm conviced I got the Thamesfield ward in Wandsworth the wrong colour (should be blue I think) but no longer have access to the data.

Wow, what a great job you did! I will put these maps on the website in the near future and I guess I will put . In fact there is a long line of maps and electoral statistics wating to be put on "Eletoral Geography" (since I update the website only in my own spare time), but your maps will get a preferential treatment :-)
Do you want me to put https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=33767.0 as the source or your photobucket album?

Is the legend correct regarding Rosales' percentages? That looks a little odd to me...

Great map though!

Yeah, it seems you would have the darker blue for the higher %'s.

Andreas Hahn, a German political scientist, was kind enough to share them with me.

And I'd never seen those old German electoral maps before!

Thanks! By the way, I was asked what was the exact question of the 2002 protection of human life referendum?

Ehh.. That's somewhat complicated; to say the least.

Ireland is one of the few countries in western Europe where abortion is still illegal except when the mother's life is threatened. The referendum was designed to further these restrictions, so that women couldn't use claims that they were sucicidal in order to get an abortion.

The referendum was a demand of a couple Independant TDs (MPs) which had been propping up the Fianna Fail - Progressive Democrats minority goverment.

It narrowly failed; probably only due to opposition from some really hard-core pro-life groups such as the strongly catholic youth defense, which wanted more restrictions; mainly a ban on the birth control pill; which wasn't part of the referendum (and is totally legal here).

It's worth noting (and not very surprising) where the referendum was strongly defeated (ie. The Cities; and very badly in the middle class areas) and where it passed. (Everywhere else)
