The disagreement between Trump and GOP members puts KL and DP in an awkward spot. When does the hand wrangling over these checks and covid relief impact the rating of this race. If you have this at tossup - at what point does it become Lean D. If you have it at Lean R at what point does it become tossup. If you have it at Likely R at what point is it Lean R...

I think that it will hurt Kelly Loefeller to the point in which she will lose by about 1 or 2% to Raphael Warnock. On the other hand, it may help David Perdue, as he could frame the issue in his ads to make the Democrats look unfavorable to the wider electorate in Georgia.

Just curious- Why would Perdue be able to frame the issue in ads to make Dems look unfavorable, but Loeffler would not be able able to?

That is already factored in for me and why I have the races as lean R instead of likely R, but I don't expect it to change unless Perdue/Loeffler specifically vote against the 2k bill.

Perdue has a nice smile and a soothing tone which means he is a FF moderate. It doesn't matter that he's arguably to the right of Kelly Loeffler and just as (if not even more) corrupt. Nice smile = Perdue is a FF that moderate R's will salivate over despite not earning that reputation at all

Ultiomately, this kind of stuff changes very few voters minds IMO, but I can't see how it helps Loeffler and Perdue, but hey, if 2020 haas taught us anything, the electorate can be very interesting.
