At home, preparing for the first day in Austrian high school the next day.

Putting final stuff into my backpack (we got a list).

Watching TV.

Listening to my "Crazy Town" and "Michelle Branch"-CDs on my discman.

A discman was the early version of an iPod, for those too young to know ...

Unless Austria has evening classes, this does not check out. 9/11 would have happened some time in the afternoon in Austria. The first plane must have hit the twin towers at like 14:45 in Vienna.

What does not check out ?

I wasn't in school on 9/11.

I was at home during that afternoon, Austrian high school started the next day ...

I was in 3rd grade. I was sent home for the day, told that something bad happened, and Mom sent me to my room immediately.

I was half-drunk with a massive hangover when I fired up my "beater car" to drive into my manufacturing plant with my favorite AM Classic Country Music Radio Station on the Radio.

Assumed it was all some sort of "shock-jock" joke scene, until I stumble into my Blue Collar job in the factory, where all of the common TVs are focused on the Towers getting hit hard...

Watched the 2nd Tower go down in live time at the jobsite in my late '20s...

Alan Jackson: "Where were You" still reminds me of that time...

I thought things couldn't get worse until the Iraq War, faked weapons of mass destruction scene, and then it gets real when my friend died as a result of an IED outside of Taji / Camp Cooke in Iraq 2.0 because of the "Vulcans" and Dick Cheney that murdered my friend for BS when it came to their fictitious pursuits of WMDs, which was really a political plan to dominate the oil of the Middle East.
