Very thorough and comprehensive collection.  For me, the best are the 1972 "Nixon Now" and 1980 "Reagan-The Time is Now" ads.

The 1980 Ted Kennedy ads against Jimmy Carter were brutal, and many of them are available on You Tube.  Carroll O'Connor made several for Kennedy that year--knocking Carter's "depression" and saying it was going to be worse than Herbert Hoover's.  When you see these ads, it's fairly easy to see that Carter didn't attract nearly enough support from Kennedy voters in November--and a number of them ended up voting for Reagan.

This ad definitely helped President Reagan among Democratic voters, especially the Reagan Democrats who voted for Reagan because of his strength on foreign policy and the benefits of the Reaganomics. No wonder President Reagan won 26 % of registered Democrats in 1984 and 62 % of Independents. That's why he won FL by 30 percentage points despite the fact that Dems had more registered voters than Republicans in that state at that time. It definitely helped Reagan flip states like Rhode Island or Massachusetts or West Virginia and almost the state of Minnesota.

Another example of a good campaign ad would be Dubya's 2004 "Whatever it Takes" that features his acceptance speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention adressing American troops and their families in addition of featuring wonderful music and aimed at emphasizing Dubya's determination to keep America safe and win the War on Terror.
