This loss literally came out of nowhere. What happened that caused Joe Torsella to lose?

A tragic loss however, thankfully we have King J. Shapiro

What "ladder climbing"?

It was very obvious the Treasurer job was a stepping stone for him for Senate/Governor

And why wasn't Shapiro affected?

I'm not sure.

More popular, better at concealing ambition?

Well, for one, there was no straight ticket voting option, which lifted Democrats in 2016 in statewide races.

But yeah, because of that and it appears the general ticket splitting seen everywhere in all races, many counties had really wonky results. Shapiro performed the best, Torsella was in the middle, and Ahmad was last.

He really shouldn't have lost, though. Who even is Stacy Garrity?!
