This is the terrain Dems have to hold the margin - not gain. Not a bad poll all things considered.

I've always assumed the GOP could make inroads still in the panhandle.

College town + rural South district = probably one of the most likely places to trend against Biden.  See VA-05.

This district gave Clinton 52% of the vote in 2016. In the same year, the State Senate election broke to Montford (D), 67.36%-32.64%.

State Senate: Ausley +7%
Loranne Ausley (D) 51%
Marva Preston (R) 44%
Undecided 5%

The article says it was 52% Clinton in 2016, making this a slight Dem swing, though I don't have the full data.

Why? Biden is holding the blue districts steady while Trump losing about 6 points or so in districts he won.

This is a very inelastic district.  Includes very Dem Tallahassee and some deep red rurals.  Not many swing voters here.

Yes and no Tongue

Its current state senator did get 70% of the vote Tongue, Liberty county still has some fuzzy demosaurs left.
