comerica park seems lovely, nym.  ive been watching the red sox vs. tigers this weekend.

id love to visit that park.

Yeah, it's a great ballpark. Although I miss Tiger Stadium, but Comerica certainly is an excellent facility.

i know youre fond of the word 'benighted' to describe republican states.

ever been to michigan?  land o' poors (and gun nuts)

No I never went to Michigan, nor would I care to do so, WalterMitty.  However it is less poor overall than my home state of Missouri.  It is certainly getting poorer as the union jobs evaporate.

Anyway, I think 2004 represented a Republican high water mark in MI, as it did in many states.  Michigan itself is trending slowly Democrat, of course.

Things are slowly looking up for Michigan. Granholm added 14,000 jobs on her recent trip to Japan. The Delphi strike threat is slowly going away. Michigans unemployment rate is dropping(finally). Detroits economic situation is improvong. Crime is going down. I think we are beginning to come out our recession.
