Totally unexpected from a guy whose life goal was to visit the "Fuhrer's" mountain retreat.

Cory Booker does not strike me as a particularly effective hate figure. It's not easy to cast him in a menacing light relative to most members of Congress.

It's them.

The Cawthorn campaign has been paying for and running ads to the website, and took credit for it several days ago in a press release and on social media.

It's North Carolina, and - in the famous words of opebo - "[Booker] is a black, you see".

I get that it's because he's black, but just don't think it's a particularly competent dogwhistle. Even if they restricted the pool of eligible boogeymen to black, male Democrats, they'd probably be better off with "police-hating" Keith Ellison, the old boogeyman Al Sharpton or any CBC member who happened to be a little less obviously soft-centred than Booker.

The man made visiting Hitler's summer villa a major item on his bucket list.

Are we supposed to be surprised?

I really don't get how there are some people that still think like this. All that needs to be said.

It's still Cawthorn's Senate seat in 2026 if he wants it

But he is probably damaged goods

People should not be making fun of his accident, but he is a nutjob

I defended him over the Eagle's Nest thing because the language was very ambiguous. This...is not.

Go crazy Colonel for a two-year rental?

If Cawthorn loses this race, we are never going to hear from him again unless it's as a mid-level pundit on an alt-right podcast.

Cawthorn is backtracking by saying he was trying to condemn "left-wing identity politics" and blamed it on syntax-

I am unhappy that I actually defended this man before his true colors showed themselves. Given the congressional district, he's probably going to win, but I would certainly be pleased if he were to be defeated.

You are acting like Republicans don't accept Black people in the party. When they do. Yes, they have a race problem, but 10 percent of the GOP is Black and Latino.

Maybe he could get a job with the GOP office of minority outreach, assuming he wouldn't have to work for one.
