How would you like it if we cut Mississippi in half?  Besides, that wouldn't solve the problem.  I think almost all the people from New York registered here are downstate anyway.

I wouldn't care.  Put a piece of MS in all five regions for all I care . . . As long as you dont cut the line down my house or anything Smiley
anyway, I made this regional map:

              Map 1                  Map 2
               --------                 ---------
District 1   NJ                      NY
District 2   NY                      NJ, MD, DC, DE
District 3   WV                    (none)
District 4   MD, DC, DE        WV, NM
District 5   NM                     (none)

Were you looking for a reply from me? I can live with either being in the 'western' or 'southern' district (NM has elements of both regions IRL)...just don't put me with all those wild leftists in the midwest. *shudders* Wink

Again, I reiterate that it is active voters that should matter, not just the total number of registrations.

Although a real-life census counts everyone, whether they are registered to vote or not.   I don't know if that makes any difference for our census.

Keep in mind... I'm one of the ones with the gerrymandering redistricting powers here!  I could force you to be in my district Cheesy

I've also posted this in another thread, but here is a map based on Nym's idea for an "instant census".

The really spooky bit is, under some maps that's actually possible...darn empty Colorado! *shakes fist*
