jmfcst, he could indeed be a valuable ally.  However, do you trust him?  I don't.  He's a glory hound, and can't resist doing whatever will garner the praise of the MSM.

With Hillary, I can disagree with everything she stands for.  It's ideological.  However, with McCain, it's always about McCain.  I can never respect that.

I wish I could trust him.  I just can't.

McCain appears by Falwells side and re-affirms his warmongering support of the Iraq war.

He decided he wanted to win the Republican nomination.

If he wants to win the nomination, he's gonna have to suck up to the religious right. It's so sad that a bunch of christian nutjobs control what was once a great political party.

The exact same can be said for the left-wing nutjobs in our own party.

Agreed. Why can't the Democratic Leadership Council be more vocal than Howard Dean?

Howard Dean isn't a "left-wing nutjob"

Public perception of him says he is, and that's what counts. I do agree that if you objectively look at Governor Dean's record in office, he's far from what the GOP demonizes him to be.

But even Al Sharpton accused him of not having one minority represented in his cabinet Tongue

Oh god I remember that.  Al's such a prick.  Dean was too scared to give him the right answer, which was "Where the hell are you going to find black people in Vermont?"

Ron Paul is a left-winger.  He said he opposed the renewal of the Patriot Act.

Hillary Clinton is a right-winger.  She voted for the Iraq War Resolution.

Do you see how idiotic and simplistic your 'logic' is, jfern?  Just because John McCain visits Jerry Falwell's campus does not make him some sort of Falwell clone.  Roll Eyes

Jesus Christ, you are an idiot.

Post of the year.
