I hope they don’t actually expect Trump to do anything about Maduro. He never will as long as his Russian master doesn’t want it. All his talk about Venezuela has been pure bluster.

If dems don't start embracing toppling leftist dictators they are toast in the foreseeable future Florida will become safer and safer Republican. Demographics are not favorable to them: more wwc moving from the midwest and right wing Latinos immigrating, below average college white population.

Toppling dictators, famously popular among Obama-Trump voters. It's no surprise their favourite Democrat is war hawk Tulsi Gabbard.

Around Twitter (which I know isn't the real world, but considering the lack of concrete evidence, anyways) diehard Trump supporters, which I not-so-affectionately like to call "MAGAzuelans", believe the only way Maduro goes away is with a military intervention. That, of course, will be carried out by the Trump administration. Some are absolutely convinced it's gonna happen, and it doesn't help that outlets like PanAm Post (which is a right wing news site) constantly fuel said narrative. Also, the behavior from this group towards "Venezuelans with Biden" has been nothing sort of disgusting.

Anyway, what you have to understand is that the Trump administration has been nothing but frontal against the Maduro regime, especially compared to the Obama administration. It really comes as little surprise (even though "conventional wisdom" told us this was the case) that he's polling much better than Biden among Venezuelans in the US.

EDIT: WELP never mind that because apparently I'm blind, this poll actually polled the issue and a whopping 86% of those polled believe the US should remove Maduro via a military intervention, and when asked directly about a military intervention, 97% (!!!) would support it. So there you have it.

You are using your whole deck
1. GW agreed to put defensive missiles in Poland.  Obama reneged Trump Put the back
2. Trump gave the Ukraine tanks and small arms. Obama did not.
3. Trump by fracking made us a seller of natural gas putting pressure on Russia’s in come sources
4. Trump is putting American NATO forces in POLAND AND THE Baltic states.  Thus and Russian attack on these forces will cause a war.
5. It is Germany that is playing Russia’s game by purchasing gas from Russia.  Markel is doing that I believe beccaue the Us under Biden will cut of the fracking and gas supplies.

Putin supported Trump without collusion in 2016, believing he could not win.  Surprise.  The only worse surprise came to Germany after it sent Lenin to Russia in 1917.

Wake up. Putin is not Trump’s master

More points as to why Obama & Biden were much weaker on Russia than Trump:
-Crimea was lost to Russia during Obama's term
-Obama got humiliated in Syria by Putin
-Responded with puny sanctions that did nothing/made Russia more self-sufficient
-Didn't make the other NATO countries pay for more defence spending
-Didn't do anything in Eastern Ukraine
-Didn't pressure Germany to stop doing business with Russia
-He didn't respond to Russia's buildup in the Arctic
-Trump is seeking closer relations with North Korea, putting them out of Russian/Chinese influence (Nixon-tier diplomacy)

Also, if the supposed Russian hacking & meddling did happen, why didn't Obama do anything about it?

Biden won't hire people like Ben Rhodes, so I can see him taking firmer foreign policy stances

I'm not surprised by this. Joe Biden isn't mentioning immigration reform at all nor is he really speaking about issues that matter to Latinos. Trump not only has an economic argument, he has a powerful symbolic anti-communist argument that can appeal to Venezuelans and they're stuck in the mire of "Little Havana" lunacy in Miami.

Yeah, pretty much. Thankfully they don't seem as plentiful as Cubans are, and maybe we'll see a generational shift with them too eventually when they recognize how Republicans have cried wolf with SOCIALISM *ominous clank* for over a decade now.

It really is irrational though. I don't want to discount what these immigrants have been through in their former home country, but they really are blind with fury if they taking Trump's characterization of Joe f***ing Biden, the most mainstream left of center candidate possible, as being equivalent with Chavez or Maduro.

He does? "Remember February?" is really that much of a winning message?

What are you even talking about? The "issues that matter to Latinos" are the same issues that matter to every other demographic. The economy & jobs, healthcare, tackling COVID-19, racial & social justice, climate change, etc.

Second of all, immigration reform doesn't really appeal to Venezuelans and this election isn't about immigration reform. Anyways, the DNC has a whole segment about immigration & immigration reform.

Thirdly, one of the most consistent messages Biden has had is about the economy and jobs. He has repeatedly talked about his proposal for a massive investment in clean energy jobs and literally 2 days ago went to Michigan and talked about his economic message.

Finally, you need to.....PAY ATTENTION!

I don't think they actually believe that Biden is equivalent with Chavez or Maduro, but they seem to be very eager for a military intervention in Venezuela and expect Trump to be the one who'll carry it out.

No, I've checked out some Twitter posts from "MAGAzolanos" (Venezuelan Trump supporters) and many of them do think that Biden is the equivalent of Chavez and Maduro. They also believe that Biden and the Democrats policies "will lead to socialism/communism" and/or that the Democrats are "hiding their desire for socialism/communism".

Some do believe like you said though that they support Trump because they think that he will take out Maduro lol. Also, I've seen some Venezuelans who support Biden and it's honestly refreshing to see that not all Venezuelans believe the GOP & Trump's nonsense.

Well, we don't call them MAGAzolanos for nothing. They behave like accordingly.

I understand. I am not on Twitter so I have never seen anything of that. I honestly don't want to imagine the level of freak-out-ness had Sanders been the nominee.
