Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As night falls over the city of Brotherly Love, Senate candidate Keystone Phil prepares to address a crowd of supporters, announcing his candidacy for the D2 seat.

Good evening and thank you to everyone. We are all aware of why I am here – I want to be your Senator, D2 and I believe, if given the chance, that I will be an effective, active voice who will lend an open ear to every voter within this district.

Let me present my record to you. It’s quite simple: I’ve lost every election that I’ve run in by myself or at the top of the ticket. These aren’t comments aimed at receiving pity; this is simply the truth but there is more to it. I might have lost a good number of races but each campaign made me stronger. This is about hope, my friends. If we believe, we can win. I refuse to get down on myself. I refuse to listen to pessimism when expressing my campaign. This campaign will be about the hope of getting elected and making a real meaningful change in this great country.

I am proud to call myself an Atlasian but I am embarrassed by our lack of initiative to make this country even better. Yes, we need fresh faces. The same old games being played down in Nyman have to be part of the past. Lend me your support and I will do everything I can to breath of fresh air to our nation’s capital.

Thank you, may God bless this great district and all of Atlasia!

Phil walks off, shaking hands with supporters as “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” plays in the background.

I thank the Senator for his kind remark. I don't know if that is an endorsement or not but I will say that I can't wait to get to the Senate either. I just hope it actually happens this time. The longer I have to fight, the more I want it, which is good.  Smiley
