I agreed to sponsor this important bill submitted by Ishan because it's important to hold China accountable for their abuses of sovereignty of surrounding nations, their longtime economic trade practices which have left Atlasia very vulnerable to coronavirus. This would be a step in the right direction for our national interest.

Switching from recognizing the PRC to the ROC as the legitimate China would be a massive massive mistake in my opinion.

It is one thing to be hawkish on China. It is a much different thing to do stuff like this.

My concern with doing this is that it could provoke the PRC to act military to take Taiwan. I am no fan of the PRC and I would even entertain in theoretical conversations the fact RoC should control China but the reality of the situation is what it is and China is a nuclear power.

We also have to consider the realities relating to the war situation in game and how that business from 2017 - 2018 would affect this as well.

I just don't think this is a practical or realistic idea.
