FDR. He almost turned the US into a socialist nation until the damn Dixiecrats and courts got in the way. And he was a huge antifa president, left loads of dead German fascists across Europe.

He locked up the real anti-fascists and helped pave the way for their exclusion from the labor movement.

I was under the impression that antifa, the organization that doesn't exist, did not exist (literally or whatever point the "they don't exist" people are trying to make) in FDR's time.  Was he against Fascism, sure, but so was Stalin.  Being against Fascism doesn't make one a good person any more than being against Communism or any other -ism would.  People are good people if they do good things and killing your political enemies, justified or not, really doesn't sway things much one way or the other.  Lots of racist bastards killed Nazis during WWII.

He was anti-Fascist, but so were most Americans.  He was in no way Antifa.

Trying to act like there's literally no difference between the WWII Allies and modern Antifa is beyond disingenuous. Lots of people who fought the Nazis in WWII were themselves basically Nazis by the standards of modern Antifa.

Perhaps, but the majority of them weren’t.

I didn't say they were necessarily a majority. I don't know the precise percentage. The point is that it's dishonest to conflate modern Antifa - a group entirely comprised of far-left ideologues - with a group that was far from being entirely comprised of such people. It's a propaganda tactic designed to reinforce the ''you either support Antifa or you think Hitler did nothing wrong'' false dichotomy.

William Lemke’s voters and Father Coughlin thought so. Apparently they didn’t like that FDR expressed support for the Spanish Republicans, who were the original “antifa”.

Stop trying to conflate an ideological position and responding to international aggression with hooligans, borderline terrorists, who physically assault people for peaceably expressing beliefs they don't happen to like.

He supported race-based concentration camps so probably.
