I would imagine more than half would go to Trump. Libertarian views are more in like with republican  than democrats. However most Jill Stein voters would go to Biden

Most would go for Biden. A large amount of them were edgy never Trumpers who couldn't swallow Clinton.

Trump. NeverTrump voters who are too far to the right to be won over by Democrats, are now fine with Trump because he's governed like a generic R, and think Biden is in cognitive decline or something.

Hilary lost due in part of Benghazi, Johnson voters were only a symptom of this. Also, she lost on the gun issue, being a female candidate. Voters are more comfortable with having a female Veep than Prez, which will help Biden. Johnson voters will go to Biden in midwest

This Johnson voter is voting for Biden. I gave the democrats the challenge to nominate a Trustworthy, Moderate candidate, and they succeeded.

No way are most libertarian voters going to vote Democrat. Some yes for sure but not most

50 Libertarian sacrificial lamb 25 Biden 25 Trump

Thinking any major party candidate is gonna get an outright majority of 3rd party voters is lunacy.

I'm not sure, but the narrative on Atlas that Hillary Clinton would have won a majority/most of Johnson voters nationwide, is simply ludicrous.

Note I said nationwide, not the state of New Mexico where he got a large share of the vote and was a successful, popular governor.

Some will stick with whoever the Libertarians throw up, but I imagine there will be a lower third party vote this year.

Those who were just protest-voting Never Trumpers who didn’t like Hillary may well go to Biden now that the reality of a Trump presidency has hit.

Those who were actually right-wing true believers and didn’t trust Trump to be sufficiently conservative  are more likely to vote for Trump now that the reality of his presidency has hit.

I have a feeling that in 2016, there were more of the former than the latter.

In states that don't matter, most will vote for the libertarian assuming they even get on the ballot.  In states that matter, probably 2 to 1 for Biden.  Most people who aren't in the deplorable cult know that this Presidency is an utter disaster.

If they nominate Justin Amash, they may draw the same level of support Johnson had.

I kind of doubt it.

Johnson was a more mainstream, even moderate Republican who was Governor of New Mexico. Weld was even more of a moderate. This gave the Libertarian ticket unusual mainstream appeal. Amash has always been a radical Freedom Caucus type — a true libertarian. He won’t have as much natural appeal to most Never Trumpers, who are less likely to hate Biden too much to vote for him than they were Hillary anyway.

Probably mostly for Trump. I expect third-party voting as a whole to be at a record low this election.

Mostly Biden. 2018 basically showed everyone who voted for someone other than Trump voted Dem (Utah excepted), and I expect that to continue. A lot of Johnson voters are Romney types in places like Collin County, TX who are probably done with the GOP at this point but couldn't quite swallow Clinton in 2016.
