CNBC/Change Research Poll in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin: April 17-18, 2020

48% Trump
47% Biden

Was Trump+5 a few weeks ago.

https://www.changeresearch.com/post/states-of-play-battleground-wave-3

They polled almost 6.000 people in those states, but didn't manage to post the results for each state ...

I mean this as respectfully as possible, but its mind blowing how pervasive Change Research has become in the last few years. Their accuracy has been questionable at best, yet News Organizations and campaigns have all started doing business with them. Hopefully they've improved since 2018.

The fact that they don't even manage to publish the results of each state shows that they have no clue ...

This is more likely than those +8 numbers, but Biden doesnt need AZ, NC and FL. He only needs Wi/PA/MI to flip

This is such a dumb way to report polling results...

Their methodology is inexpensive, and is much better tailored for some geographies/regions than others. Since their founding they've also hired some impressive names. I've heard that their internal/client work is more exhaustively done than their public work which is not uncommon, but can't personally confirm.

Trump +1 is certainly more buy-able than Trump +5 but still seems too high and then there's the fact that this is Change Research after all

Can we ban these "swing state" polls?

Certifiable sh!t-tier polling methodology. There is literally no reason not to break down a 6000 person sample size by state, the margin of error would barely even change. It is taking a useful data set and reporting it in a way that eliminates data. I have no idea why they would do this.
