No.

America's obsession with communism has always been irrational.  Imagine getting emotional over an economic system.  lulz.   Newsflash: Economic systems are never static, and what may work in one nation-state during a specified time period will not work in another.   Cuba would be capitalist today if not for US saber-rattling.

Somewhat yes. I get his point, but the GOP ads for FL and other states write themselves with such remarks.

But it's ridiculous we even talk about this and media keeps proping it up. Who cares about Castro, who's gone? This 2020 and not 1980. We should be talking about a future vision, specific issues and how policies affect people's lives, not political labels.

Of course, because its all going to be about how the right-wing media is going to drive the narrative that Bernie is an evil socialist during the general election campaign. I'm sure tons of low-information voters will fall for "well, I am not a fan of trump. But at least he's not a socialist..."

Russia is the enemy, and always was, Cuba and the Castro regime was the patsy. The KGB has been the nemesis to US and thwarted our efforts to contain Communism

The gamble of the ending Cuban embargo did pay off, it hurt Bernie more than it helped, after ST, Biden will be the nominee with sweep of everything but Cali

Sanders made a genuine, bonafide, old-fashioned gaffe with those Castro comments.

If Sanders loses MI or ID, then it was a nomination-ending gaffe at that. He will have no one to blame but himself, not that the old narcissist ever will.

My sister, a Sanders supporter, in responding to Super Tuesday and it's aftermath when I asked her about it said that Sanders' comments here made her second guess about Sanders' ability to beat Trump if he were nominated. She still supports him and said she actually doesn't care about the comments, but she is still concerned about them.

I don't know, I just thought that was a unique take on this whole thing from a supporter of his.

IMO that was a very reasonable take, actually.
