I regret the harsh words I exchanged with you, and the not-so-veiled threats I made, and though I am relieved that you have chosen not to force this party to choose between you and Jake, I can't say I am entirely without any guilt or complicity in your decision. 

Still, good luck, and should you decide to make a run for an office where there aren't any other CDP members already running, you will have our full support.  It's appropriate to say that we owe it to you.
