I would highly recommend you all to read the transcripts or vidoes of the New York times series interviewing the candidates. Click on the image to play video. Transcripts are attached and well worth the read. Go striaght into policy. I'm biased but I thought the best interviews were Amy Klobuchar talking about progress is getting things done not doing nothing and still talking about it. Warren is very good in a room and you can see why people like her.

Pete Buttigieg (shocking moment really exposed even swears.)

Joe Biden Interview.

ELizabeth Warren

Andrew Yang

Bernie Sanders

The Buttigieg one is just so...-chef's kiss-

It's like he's incapable of getting angry until someone accuses him of wrongdoing at McKinsey. Then he's PISSED. Should kinda say something about the kind of person he is...

The Buttigieg one is just so...-chef's kiss-

It's like he's incapable of getting angry until someone accuses him of wrongdoing at McKinsey. Then he's PISSED. Should kinda say something about the kind of person he is...

Yeah, just who does Buttigieg think he is?  How dare he call out a reporter for falsely accusing him of "being on the frontlines of corporate price-fixing!"  Doesn't he know that only Bernie and Warren are allowed to push back when someone lies about them.  And while he called the reporter's smear "bullsh!t,"* both his tone and response (if folks bother listening past the first sentence) was very calm, thoughtful, and reasonable.  But then again, that's par for the course for Pete.  He's got a far better temperament for the Presidency than everyone else running combined.

Also, I'd love to hear what bad thing you think it could possibly say about "the type of person" Buttigieg is that he didn't like someone falsely accusing him of being involved in criminal conduct.  I mean, the NYT reporter's comment was far more egregious than CNN's bias against Bernie in the debate.  I mean, I don't know about you, but I doubt most people would take too kindly to being falsely accused of "being on the frontlines" of conduct that would constitute a criminal conspiracy.

Lastly, I'd encourage folks to actually read the transcript rather than just going by random one minute tweets posted by MissScarlett.  Even the NYT summerized the interview thusly: "Mr. Buttigieg projected steadiness and thoroughness as he faced questions about his consulting work at McKinsey & Company, his service in Afghanistan, his faith and his challenges in attracting support from minorities and younger voters, despite being the youngest candidate in the contest. He bristled at suggestions that his McKinsey work involved bread price fixing in Canada and claimed ignorance of the “Mayo Pete” memes popular on the internet among millennials."

*Which it unambiguously was as a matter of objective fact; were Pete not a public figure then he might have even had grounds to sue the reporter for slander tbh.

Buttigieg is inauthentic and robotic... it hasn't been said before because he’s a white guy.

ROTFLMAO at the idea that I'm a Biden hack.  At the moment, Bernie Sanders is my second choice after Buttigieg.  Biden is my last choice of the four serious candidates.

As for Pete, if by "criticism" you mean "falsely accusing him of being on the frontlines of a criminal conspiracy with no evidence whatsoever to back up said smear" then yeah, I don't think folks should do that.  But I also don't think reporters should falsely accuse Sanders of being on the frontlines of a bank fraud conspiracy during his wife's tenure as President of Burlington College.

Yeah, that must be it.  The media never portrays white candidates as inauthentic and robotic.  They only say that about African-American women like Al Gore.

I am so sorry to butt in but I just noticed this exchange from Biden's interview that I am still processing, I can't believe the man who is ostensibly the leading contender to end Donald Trump's presidency said these words:

Quote
Q:Just asking for a little bit of self-reflection here. Is there anything that you have changed your mind about, specifically related I would say to your record, or your thinking, your personal views, on race or busing or anything over the years?

Biden: No, not on race or busing because I think you’ve all been kind of shocked how much black support I have. Overwhelming black support in my home state. Overwhelming black support with the Black Caucus. Overwhelming black support with the black community because they know me. I’ve never been ashamed of anything I’ve done. I’ve fought for the African-American community and fought for them my entire career.

HE SAYS HE HASN'T CHANGED HIS VIEWS ON RACE BECAUSE BLACK PEOPLE SUPPORT HIM????????????????? HE HASN'T REFLECTED ON WHY HIS VIEWS ON RACE ARE SO BAD??????????

He is still one of my top picks. I've noticed he gotten more scripted.

The only people I can imagine NYT's endorsing are Biden or Warren. I could also see them doing something like endorsing the entire field because Trump needs to be defeated(or something like that).

The rest of it comes across pretty bad too-"I've never been ashamed of anything I've done". Sounds like something Trump would say.
