I can't believe some of these responses.  

When I was 14, lots of us guys had posters of hot looking Hollywood starlets, Raquel Welch being the most iconic when I was 14, in what was considered skimpy bathing suits for the day.

My 14 year old son is not into jock sports (as I was), but he's into things like Pokemon and Beyblades and he still likes some of the anime cartoons.  He'd think it's really cool that AOC liked that sort of thing; she'd be his political hero for that reason.  (I was a pretty politically aware 14 year old, but my youngest son could care less about the subject.)

My wife and I, by the way, raise our son to have appropriate desires and behaviors.  There are lots of things I was allowed to do at 14 (including having posters of bathing beauties in my teenage boy bedroom) that I would not allow him to do because I want him to have right and proper attitudes.  I want him to postpone sexual activity until marriage.  I certainly don't condone pornography.  

But I was 14 once, and I hung out with other 14 year old boys, and we had our trash talk and the idea that a really attractive Member of Congress liked something our age group would like would be something we'd find "conversation-worthy".  And we had our "crushes" of a sort on good looking young Hollywood stars.  We also thought some adults to be "cool" in ways we'd understand.  He'd think she's cool for this, and he'd want "the AOC poster", if there were one.  (My son hates politics, and he doesn't like Trump, although his dislike for Trump has nothing to do with politics.)  If he were in politics, he'd probably find AOC cool because they'd have a common interest.

This thread was started by someone who has been trying to drive me from this forum for some time.  His response to my thread arguing against Sanchez's 90 day ban from USGD ban was to suggest that I take a lengthy, principled absence from the forum (sarcastically).  So I get it; this is from someone who wishes me ill.  And there are others here who seem to need a life.  I realize now that I can't be lighthearted about anything here.  And I assure you, that I won't be anymore.  Everything I post will be serious.  

Fuzzy Bear....

1.) You have sufficiently explained yourself in what was an attempted light-hearted comment and joke.... and certainly you have no reason to cease being a bit flippant or humorous at times because the "PC Police" and Haters are out to get you...

2.) I will not comment on your Feud with Heatcharger regarding Moderation Decisions, temp bans from certain threads, etc, because quite frankly those topics bore me, so long as this Forum takes swift and efficient action against White Supremacist Posters and socks....

3.) I was also a (14) Year Old Boy way back in the late '80s, and was well acquainted with the concept of "Pin-Up Girls", just like posters of Heavy Metal and Rock Bands, etc....

4.) I suspected that your Son might not be a big fan of DJT, and also likely plays video games, such as the one that I linked where there is an AoC character which has nothing to do with AOC.

5.) I think you and your Wife sound like decent and good parents and are trying to raise your son right and not down a path at a critical age where s**t could break loose if he starts "breaking bad".

6.) Hell Fuzzy, both of us are Middle-Aged and been around the block. When I was 15-17 gave my Single Mom tons of grief after I dropped out of HS, while drinking 40 Ouncers of Old English in the Back Alleys and Parks of my Factory Town, got into a few fights (only in self-defense), and started slinging small quantities of dope from MJ to LSD on the streets (Never the hard s**t like Heroin, Coke, or Meth which I strongly opposed).

7.) This was 25-30 Years ago, and certainly as a parent you want to keep your kids safe from what could potentially be future challenges in life....

8.) Gave my Single Mom some grief as the only Teenage Male, but never robbed, stole, or went so far out of control, and then ended up applying to a Private Liberal Arts College somewhere in the Midwest where tuition was around $20k/Yr, but as a Working-Class person was able to gain admittance with massive scholarships.  I'm sure you want that same success story for your son.

9.) Sounds like you're doing a great job as parents, and we're totally cool even though we've occasionally had a few disagreements on issues, always voted for you as an FF....

Sanchez accused me of death threats against f**king kids and got away with a slap of the freaking wrist....

Sad that Atlas posters can make personal accusations of other members accusing them of death threats against kids and then end up with yet another minor infraction....

Well, from what I can gather there is no such thing as an actual AOC "pin-up girl", at least based upon my brief research....

1.) To give Fuzzy Bear the benefit of the doubt, he might well be stating that his son is a fan of AOC, who naturally shares different political positions from his "old man", which would be a natural form of Teenage Rebellion....

2.) He might also be referencing a video game character, Keaira from the Conan game back in '07 the model of whom posed in Playboy back at the same time.... It would make sense that a (14) Year old is into video games and might have some posters of various characters at that time, in which case the AOC is actually an AoC, minus the Playboy shoot.

3.) It could also perhaps be read in a more disturbing format, if we look at this New York Post "trash media" website, where an eight year old girl is impersonating AOC, which has been breaking records on right-wing underground media...

4.) Although I do not pretend to understand what is going on in Fuzzy Bear's brain, it might well be a confluence of these three scenarios, and most likely he is poking an anthill with sticks to get a reaction....

5.) Regardless it's not the first time that Atlas posters have sexualized Female Political Leaders.... remember the whole "Nailin' Palin" stuff from way back 10+ years ago, where there were many posters from a wide variety of political backgrounds that chose to focus on the perceived physical attributes, rather than policy positions....

6.) Naturally, this tends to occur much more frequently with Female Political Leaders, regardless of Partisan affiliation, although certainly Gay Men on Atlas have discussed their physical attraction towards various political figures of both major parties within the US...

1.) A huge chunk of these words were posted in one thread, which was an extensively detailed thread regarding the 2016 Presidential Election Results in Oregon.

Anybody can look up my posting history, and although over the past Year or so I've gotten a bit bored, and am waiting for the next major rounds of elections before more detailed analysis, but quite frankly look up my posting history, and I suspect only 5% of Atlas might believe that my words have never made any sense.... maybe you are confusing me with someone else, or your sense of humor gravitates more towards my own when it comes to understatement and a bit of minor sarcasm.... when really you are stating the opposite.   

4.) Blame it on my Irish Ancestry but if in fact I posted 5 Million Words on Atlas, I believe the vast majority of them make tons of sense as a % of words posted compared to many others on the Forum...
