Feb 2020 seems like the likely date for the Parliamentary elections. Gotabaya Rajapaksa seems determined to install his brother and ex-Prez Mahinda Rajapaksa as PM even though UNP + TNA has a clear majority.  These best way to solve that would be new elections which can legally be called starting Feb 2020 which I assume when Gotabaya Rajapaksa will act.  

With Sajith Premadasa beaten and his allies retreating within UNP that leaves UNP leader and PM Wickremesinghe to reassert control of UNP and thus the only one left on the field to lead the opposition to the Rajapaksa clan onslaught.

PM Wickremesinghe and leader of UNP resigns as PM.  Ex-Prez and brother of Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Mahinda Rajapaksa, will most likely be appointed PM and lead SLPP-SLFP in early elections early in 2020.
