Not comparable to either. Hillary (pre-email scandal) was a popular, top-tier candidate. She narrowly lost to Obama, another popular, top-tier candidate in a year in which she would've blown away McCain too. Both of them had a large following at one time, like icons.

Biden never really have a following, never considered a icon the way Obama and pre-email Hillary were.

Biden is more like Mitt Romney.
