I do a lot of driving for work, and the ability to listen to a lot more than whatever I can catch on FM/AM radio between Nashville/Knoxville/Chattanooga or hearing Pure Heroine repeat like 5 times a day sounds great. Any experiences? Is it worth it?

I did in my old car. Loved it. The Grateful Dead station was on constantly.

Sirius, for $15 a month IIRC, gives you an incredible array of options. If you can afford it, it’s a luxury worth the price. I’d give up Netflix for it if I had to chose.

No, my commute to work is 5-10 minutes.  And even then I work from home 1 or 2 days a week.

Since I don't drive, I personally don't, but my dad does, and the array of stations is great. Anywhere from the play-by-play for a hockey game, to soft rock, to politics talkshows, it has it all.

My commute is about an hour each way (shorter on Friday mornings without traffic, longer on Friday evenings). My old car didn’t have satellite radio. My new one has a trial for it. I didn’t think much of it when I was looking at cars, but having had it for two months, I love it.

In fact, in line with Sanchez, I’ll be cancelling HBO Now in a few days and signing up for an actual Sirius XM subscription once I’m done with the trial.

Rather than the three classic rock stations on FM, I have 11 stations with a greater variety. I haven’t taken any long trips in my new car, but it will be nice not to have to channel surf to find a good channel 200 miles from home.

Nice to have BBC radio too.

I listen to some podcasts, but it’s hard for me to listen to them while driving.

I do for my new car until my trial expires on the 12th. I listen almost exclusively to First Wave and will miss it sorely.

When I was driving weekly to a destination 200 miles away it was definitely worth it. I still find it has value on road trips and to the university 30 miles away.
