Weld’s 7% is better than any of Obama’s competitors in his 2012 re-election NH primary.

Weld will also not make any inroads over the next months ...

Unlike the Democratic primary, where only 16% of voters have already settled on a candidate +20% leaning towards someone, it's 53% fully decided + 12% leaning in the GOP primary. Only a third of GOPers can still be moved in either direction.

Obama barely broke 60 in multiple 2012 primaries

He specified the NH primary.

Ok? That's pretty easy when your chief rivals are a pro-life activist in the wrong party and a man with a shoe for a hat among many others on the ballot rather than a single former governor. Trump's 86% is also higher than Obama's 81% with undecideds still in the picture.

At this point, I'd be jaw-droppingly shocked if he managed to hit double digits in even a single primary.

Weld is appealing to a group that doesn't exist anymore. They've all either joined the Trump wing of the party or become Democrats.

Utah? (assuming he even makes it that far)

If he were to win any state (lol) it would almost certainly be Utah I imagine.

Weld will finish behind Uncommitted/NOTA in Utah if it comes to that.

Cant wait for Sanford to jump in. If the GOP knows best for them, Hogan or Sanford are better GE matchups to Biden than Trump, who will bring down Senate GOPers with him

I almost feel sorry for those supporting Weld or some other hopeless primary challenger. I mean, I have a Gillibrand 2020 sticker on the laptop I'm typing this on, so I know how it feels to back candidates with 0% chance of winning.

Those favorable numbers for Weld are awful.  He is going to have a tough go at it.

Despite not liking Weld, a plurality of NH Republicans in this poll still want Trump to face at least one opponent in the primary:

Prefer Trump face opposition in the primary 47%
Prefer Trump runs for re-nomination unopposed 39%
not sure 13%
