Option 4:

Kurz will not be removed from office &  He should not be removed.

Either SPÖ or FPÖ will come around and vote against no-confidence together with ÖVP and NEOS.

Probably the SPÖ. The FPÖ is furious and blames their own incompetence on Kurz.

Option 4.

Kurz did the right thing and called an election. Now, if he had somehow tried to bunkerize himself while still kicking out the FPÖ I think it would have succeeded.

Option 3 is the only possible answer. SPÖ will fold in nicely to preserve the status quo while NEOS and the Greens will tag on to get into a coalition government. FPÖ will be alone in having members vote for Kurz’s removal.

The Greens ?

They are not in parliament, so they cannot vote in the no-confidence initiative ...

It is also possible that one or both of FPÖ/SPÖ abstain, leaving ÖVP/Neos with a majority for Kurz.

Or that individual MPs from FPÖ/SPÖ are allowed to vote their conscience (unlikely though).

Option 2. Just like i don't support impeaching trump, i don't support this, but i think they'll take the opportunity to do this.

SPÖ and FPÖ are moving closer to impeaching Kurz on Monday.

Meanwhile, another poll shows that ca. 7/10 Austrians want Kurz to remain in office though.

Option 3. Won't be removed because the establishment parties will save him. Should be removed for causing the best government in Austrian history to collapse for blatantly partisan purposes.

I think the coming Watermelon government will be just as good.

Sure, you'll vote for the Greens or NEOS again and then complain for four years about mass immigration. Voters like you are why Europe is collapsing. I have more contempt for people like you, who do see the negative sides of immigration but refuse to prioritize it, than for people who genuinely don't see it.

Not all immigration is bad. As I have said in the past, I favour a limited amount of skilled immigration which is exactly what Kurz and NEOS want. The Greens want more, but I assume that Kurz will reign them in once they are in government (or already while forming the coalition contract).

What I will not tolerate is the sort of corruption, Russophilia, constant anti-semitism and fake patriotism of the FPÖ in exchange for good immigration policy by Kickl.
