If Senate loser Beto O'Rourke is credentialed enough to be a major candidate, then so is Gubernatorial loser Andrew Gillum. If South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is credentialed enough to be a major candidate, then so is former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum. And yes - I do think there's an element of racism at play here from those who disagree.

Beto's immense privilege shouldn't go unchecked.

The difference between Gillum and Beto is that the former had the Florida governorship within his reach and still failed, while Beto ran an underdog campaign from day one against a prominent incumbent and made it unexpectedly close.

And I'm saying this as someone who believed Beto shouldn't run now.

Why not, besides you're Republican and he's Democrat? He clearly isn't doing the bad thing people were assuming he would.

I will. My opinion of Gillum declined significantly when he couldn't deliver in Florida, but he has demonstrated that he has learned from his loss and wants to rectify it for the good of his state (and the country). I really appreciate that and take back anything negative that I said about Gillum. Though I will never not be pissed that he lost, even if it wasn't 100% his fault. I really hope he can make a difference in the Sunshine State and make Democrats competitive in it again. It's about time that someone took up this burden.

An extra 1 Million votes in Florida would pretty much decide the entire election (considering Trump only won Florida by a little over 100,000 votes).  Especially if AZ goes Dem- then you can loose WI-MI-PA. (Although Trump would have a very hard time winning WI & MI again).

This would be amazing! Still probably unlikely though.
