Who should she attack? I'd say certainly Sanders and Biden if he runs. Watch out for Beto and Booker could gain traction. Gillibrand and Warren are mostly non factors.

Call me crazy, but I think that Beto and Kamala appeal to roughly the same base. The way Warren is going, Sanders has the left flank locked up while Biden is obviously positioning himself as the moderate in the race. It's that big center-left faction in the middle that's the hotspot for Beto and Kamala, and if neither manages to win that group decisively, then both of them are in big trouble.

I guess that's why Bernie bros are frothing from the mouth since the moment Beto announced.

You had no point to make. Just a piss-poor analysis of the Democratic electorate.

This isn't the first time you've directly refused to acknowledge my point. Then again I should expect it from you by now.

I think just the opposite.  Kamala is trying to position herself as the consensus candidate between strident progressives and diversity-loving pluralists, while Beto is trying to secure the moderate, "let's-transcend-partisanship" portion of the electorate.  It would actually be good for Kamala if Beto does well early on because he's well positioned to put pressure on Kamala's immediate threats, namely Booker and Sanders/Warren.  Ultimately, I see the race coming down to Kamala (once she has won over Booker's, Warren's, and Sanders's voters) vs. Beto (once he has won over Biden's, Klobuchar's, Castro's, and Gillibrand's voters).

Here's a loose map of the positions within the Democratic electorate I see the candidates staking out:

Biden potentially has a lot of votes that could go to her so he’s the biggest threat, but Beto and Bernie are also major road blocks for her in different ways though.

Interesting way of looking at it.

The reasoning I have for my assessment is that O'Rourke ran a pretty populist campaign in 2018. Then again, that's literally my only reasoning. I'm not that enlightened about my political assessments (ironic because I'm majoring in political science).

Honestly, your read of the race is probably as accurate as anyone's, my own included.  We're all just making educated guesses around here.

Sidenote:  I just realized I posted the wrong triangle earlier--the one I posted represents the way I expect the race to shake out as we get closer to Iowa.  The current map of the electorate looks more like this:

Every candidate should target Biden and Sanders.
