I could possibly see Heitkamp getting a nod in a democratic administration in 2021, like secretary of agriculture.

As for the others, probably retirement or private sector.

Agriculture or Interior, both seem possible. I’d agree the rest are probably done.
I could see Nelson as NASA Administrator, but I’m unsure he’d go for it.

Donnelly and Heller will become lobbyists, McCaskill and Flake will become really annoying pundits, Corker will get some meaningless job title like the Mohammad Bin Salman Chair For Press Freedom at the American Foreign Policy Group idk

Nelson, Hatch and Kyl probably have nothing more interesting in their future besides dying.

Bill Nelson- Retirement
Bob Corker- Speaking circuit
Claire McCaskill- a fellow somewhere
Dean Heller- private sector
Heidi Heitkamp- fellow somewhere and speaking circuit
Jeff Flake- speaking circuit, fellow somewhere
Joe Donnelly- private sector
Jon Kyl- retirement
Orrin Hatch- retirement

All except Orrin Hatch will do at least some lobbying on the side, so it wasn't worth it to type is a bunch.

Corker: Foreign policy position in a GOP administration
McCaskill: Run for governor in 2020
Heller: Run for either governor or senator in 2022, but only if a Democrat is President, otherwise lobbying
Heitkamp: Run for governor in 2020
Donnelly: Run for governor in 2020
Kyl: Lobbying
Hatch: Retirement

McCaskill already was a Fellow at the UChicago Institute of Politics, Heitkamp will be one at Harvard, and Donnelly is teaching at Notre Dame. All are likely to do something like that besides Hatch and Nelson.

Maybe Dean Heller gets a job in the Trump administration. Otherwise, I think all of them are done with politics.

I think the only one who will hold a federal office again is Heitkamp (as a Cabinet member in the next Dem administration, Agriculture or Interior, take your pick).

Bob Corker: Speaking and sometimes punditry
Claire McCaskill: Lobby
Dean Heller: Lobby, maybe run for something in 2022 if it's a Dem midterm
Heidi Heitkamp: Lobby
Jeff Flake: Punditry, lobbying
Joe Donnelly: Lobbying
Jon Kyl: He's already back to lobbying
Orrin Hatch: Work on the Hatch Center and write his memoirs

Bill Nelson : no political future for him
Bob Corker : ambassador or member of a future republican administration
Claire McCaskill : could run for Governor if she is delusional enough
Dean Heller : could challenge Cortez Masto in 2022 if a democrat is in the White House
Heidi Heitkamp : member of a future democratic administration like AG secretary
Jeff Flake : no political future
Joe Donnelly : he is a prolife democrat in a red state so it seems difficult to see any political future for him, he is too conservative for the democratic base but too liberal for the state as whole.
Jon Kyl : too old for any political future
Orrin Hatch : too old
