Of course not. Bolsanaro is pretty unsavory but (at least so far) he hasn’t done anything too horrible and he is probably the most pro American leader Brazil has had at least since before Lula was elected.

Its impossible for us to do it, due to importance of coffee and oil exports from Central and South America, including Mexico and Caribbean

Just when I thought the original question was stupid, here comes this explanation. What does Brazil have to do with the Caribbean? And you realize that a lot of Caribbean countries get their oil from Venezuela?

We elected Trump yet our allies have relations with us. The answer is an obvious no. Geopolitics is way more complicated than that.

If you really want to strengthen Bolsonaro, that's the way to do it. Even his opponents wouldn't take lightly to the U.S. heavy-handed meddling in their affairs, as it happened before.

Sometimes I wonder if BRTD makes such threads as this one for some weird masochistic pleasure of seeing everybody calling out his stupidity.

We should NEVER sever diplomatic relations with ANYONE.

Whenever a country seems to be sliding backwards, we should double our diplomatic efforts, not sever them.
