    Just out of political curiosity I would love to see some college town like Madison or Ames or Berkeley hold a city wide referendum on something like a city wide white privilege tax that only whites would have to pay, with proceeds used to fund some type of reparations.

I'm almost certain Berkeley, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Madison, Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, etc. would all vote for that.

NO. He insulted my city with his mind numbingly stupid ignorance. Imagine how a West Virginia poster would react to IceSpear.

A single bad comment doesn't instantly make someone a terrible poster. even forum institutions say stupid sh!t from time to time, as I'm sure you would know.

The thing is this type of garbage is EXACTLY the same type of nonsense as IceSpear talking about West Virginia, just in the opposite direction.

I don't agree with calling all West Virginians racist hicks,  nor do I agree with ElectionsGuy's comment in this case. I'm just saying he doesn't strike me as a "problematic" poster by any means, he's not constantly going around saying ridiculous crap or causing disruptions of any kind, and I find many of his posts quite interesting and insightful when it comes to elections and predictions.

FF who's made a lot of good contributions to the forum. While those posts do show a misunderstanding about those cities, I don't think one inaccurate post makes someone a HP.

If someone said something negative/false about my city, I certainly wouldn't react like this.

The thing that people who don't actually live in such places don't understand is that not everyone in hyper-liberal places is all that politically engaged either. Oftentimes their political ideology is basically just "Really hating Trump and other Republicans."

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the guy on floor who I've seen wearing anti-Trump shirts, who I can frequently smell weed coming from his apartment door, and who told me that he works at a nearby pinball bar probably doesn't spend much of his free time reading intersectionalist feminist blogs or lecturing people about white privilege.
