Money doesn’t matter.

Not as much as we all use to think, any way. Messaging and accurate analytics is far more important.

What if Sanders or Warren are the nominee?  I'd be surprised if Mike spends his money then

Then he runs his petty little vanity campaign, cause apparently all billionaires want to run for President now.

Imagine if the guy born in NY running against the billionaires gets to beat 3 billionaires who also have a tie to NY.

But remember, the Democrats want money out of politics.

Yes, yes we do. Are we suppose to be fools however and simply allow Republicans to take advantage of the current system?

"Oh yeah? Well MY billionaire can kick YOUR billionaire's ass!"

On a related note...

The only people who say this are those in possession of either a lot of money or episodes of pure delusion.

Remind me how much money Hillary spent in 2016 compared to Donald Trump?

I’m not saying money doesn’t matter at all, but certainly it doesn’t decide Presidential elections. There’s simply too much free press and other ways for people to make up their minds about major nominees.

Admittedly, local and state races can be different.

The flaw in your premise should be evident with the characterization of Donald Trump as the economic underdog, no?

Think of it this way: not everyone who has a lot of money wins elections, but everyone who wins elections has a lot of money (either their own or from donors).
