Let's say you win an election 75% to 25%.

But there is a state that votes for the other party 75%, giving you 25%.

What is the PVI of that state?

Is it D +50? (The Republicans never get over 20% in D +44.)

assuming those are the only 2 states and they have equal pop the PVI is D+25

assuming those are the only 2 states and they have equal pop the PVI is D+25

I'm saying if someone gets 25% in a state and 75% nationwide, not 25% in a state and 50% nationwide.

I believe yes, though I also believe PVI is calculated over the last two elections

Yeah, it would be +50,  assuming those numbers are the average for two elections.
