It’s cute how many people unironically believe that Republicans are more likely to win CO-SEN than MI-SEN.

but charlie cook tells muh incumbency makes Alabama Lean D and CO Lean R.

I'm actually surprised Gardner did nothing to make an independent voting record out of his career. I mean, he's going to lose either way, but it would be closer if he turned the way of Murkoswki

Uh...maybe that's why he doesn't care about his voting record? Anyone that has an above average intelligence realizes at this point that your voting record doesn't determine your fate in 99% of circumstances, so you might as well vote how you truly feel.

True. But then, aren't you essentially conning the voters of your state? If you have no regard for the views and interests of your constituents, that is? At least Joe Manchin is committed to ensuring that toothless hillbillies don't lose their government-sponsored healthcare no matter how racist they are. I mean, they may feel otherwise, but objectively, that wouldn't be good for them. But how is Corey Gardner actually serving his constituents? He's not — he's serving the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, and Donald Trump. He's trash, and he'll deserve every point of his inevitable, landslide loss.

It's not like Cory Gardner promised to be a moderate consensus builder. The voters knew what they were getting. They elected him to "muh send a message to Obama who will be out of office in 2 years anyway" and got what they voted for: a right-wing zealot for 6 years.

They also elected him in part because Udall was a one-trick pony on abortion.

CO is a hopeless case for the GOP, especially for Trump, who is a terrible fit for the state. OH is more likely to vote Dem in the presidential election and IA more likely to oust Ernst than Gardner winning.

Something tells me that Cory Gardner will be the Barbara Comstock of 2020, Senate style.

This wouldn't surprise me. Gardner could easily lose by as much as Walker Stapleton did last November.

That would be a bad night for Democrats nationally should it happen.
