It wasn't really SC1st or Ok 5th. After reading about them I realized that SC 1st had the primary and Ok 5th had MUH FALLIN backlash.

However why did Claudia Tenney lose a trump +16 district. Sure she said some controversial statements but Trump basically said the same stuff during his election and he won the district by 16 points. What did Tenney actually do to lose this red of a district. She was no Steve King or anything but just a median republican.

I mean atleast in Staten Island its a relatively urban albiet Trumpy district which Cuomo carried. Cuomo lost this district by 25 points.

I wouldn't use Cuomo as a dem performance average upstate, Maybe clinton, but not him. Anyway, Brindisi was a great recruit and Tenney was boring

Brindisi was a great recruit, and Tenney was seen as tied to the Albany establishment, also having Paul Ryan (who nobody likes) show up for you a weak before the election wasn't very smart.
