Where is the Senate's power to install a new President?

I rarely get involved in the internal workings of the Senate and the Executive, in order to stay neutral.  But I must point out the following:

Article II, Section 3, Clause 5:

"Whenever the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President. Thereafter the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office upon his declaration that he is capable of discharging the said powers and duties, or when the Cabinet and Vice President annul their previous declaration."

This is the procedure that should be followed to do what you have just attempted to do.

Mr. Chief Justice, this constitutes a written declaration to the PPT by the Cabinet and Vice President.

In any event: the President has now returned; I suggest that we now annul our previous declaration, or allow the President to declare himself active again.

Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am here to inform you that I yet live.

I must say, I am rather pleased that Secretary Soulty acted in such a speedy action to resolve the crisis, and I thank him.

Now, I find it slightly amusing that despite the apparent crisis, that there was exactly no attempt to contact made to get me on the scene. I mean, if we were desperate enough to remove me from power, I assume we could of taken the radical extreme action of, oh I don't know, dropping me a PM, or an e-mail.

Once again I find that our election system is failing, I suggest that we may want to turn to something like a one person one vote system just to end this endless confusion. Also, the move of a governor to separate from the Republic is incredibly irresponsible.

Of course, some of you argue that I wasn't around, more responsibility for me, I'll take it, but I'd like to make it clear that I was on the board following the election, as Emsworth was named the presumptive winner, the system was intact, amazing I remember reflecting, and eveb though there was some grumbling, it seemed to be going well.

Then of course, I did like I normally do, my homework, I checked my e-mail on Wednesday afternoon, and no startling e-mails were there, just notifications that the Asbestos Ban Bill was progressing. I knew it hadn't passed yet, so I left it alone.

So I come on tonight, to find I am no longer the acting President, because someone hauled off and decided, like after most of our elections to secede. Our republic is starting to remind me more of those unstable rickety ones of the developing world, and less of a first class nation (I'm on my way out, I suppose I can say what I want.)

I'll make my final recommendation to this nation, seeing as this has been a final nail in the long believed terrible presidency of mine, make elections first past the post, it's simple enough. There may be more fair, more democratic way, but its the least controversial.

I haven't been on AIM because I reformatted my computer in July and forgot to reinstall it. Sorry Soulty.

Because of the return of President Siege, I think its correct that he should take over the Presidency again.

There's a lot of good material and apt points in this little speech.  Keep up the good work.

I call for a vote by all cabinet members to restore executive authority to President Siege.

All in favor, say "Aye"

Also, Mr. President, and Mr. Chief Justice, I take full responsability for this and am willing to accept all personal and legal repercussions for precipitating this action.

FEC2 is still in beta testing, I wouldn't recommend it.

Well, at least we made history. This move however confirms for me the belief that this Republic is much more an English Parliamentary system then an American one.

BTW, thanks Sam.

And Soulty, don't worry about it, I'm sure this will just spark a new precedence, nothing wrong with that.
