I saw this thread, and thought to myself, hey this headline has to be misleading. Then I read what Whittaker said, and concluded that it really was not misleading. Sad!

Participation in Sharia Law is voluntary. If both participants it more than one trusts English common law, then so what. Just don't commit others.

It is not necessary. One can live in according with Islamic law in America and have few conflicts.

There are countries which must at times meld British jurisprudence with Islamic sensibilities. How does India do?

He's literally saying what the vast majority of white Evangelicals think (barring the Jew part). Exhibit A on why not to let them run the country.

Oh, they think this about Jews, too. To evangelicals, the only thing Jews are good for is living in Israel to bring on the rapture.
