West Atlasia has made no hostile threat against Atlasia. By preparing for military action, you are making yourself look like the bad guy. I do agree with Emnsworth though that this is a real and not fantasy issue. I do think we could make the best of it though by recognizing the sovereignty of West Atlasia.

Secession is hostile action.  That doesn't make MAS right, but the Midwest is being very hostile indeed.

I consider "hostile" to mean with violence or force. Had the Midwest said we will launch an attack on Atlasia if they do not let us succeed then I would consider that hostile.

Well, just so that MAS doesn't need to stand alone and take the punishment for this, I will say that I had a part in this.  I know I have no authority, but I don't need to.  MAS was the one with the authority, he asked me if he should and I said yes.

Then what are we going to do.  This is a lot of crap.  Why did they feel the need to leave in the first place?  Everyone here wants reform.  What makes them so special?  I want them to come back, but what would we be doing if this was a real life situation.  This game is supposed to mirror realism as closely as possible.

If the GM declares that the Atlasian fantasy army has defeated the Midwest fantasy army, will the people of the Midwest do anything? They will probably just ignore the GM's action. If they have disregarded something so fundamental as the unity of the republic, then they will also disregard the scenarios played out by the GM.

If they ignore the GM's actions... well, I'll think of something

I think every citizen of “West Atlasia” wouldn’t mind moving the nation to my proposed Northwest Territories, Greenland and Iceland, but I need to know if you guys have a problem with that.
