If she would smash Trump, she would be making intentions on running known. She hasn't.

Or she's smart and savvy enough to stay under the radar until the right moment. In fact, I expect that much from her. Smiley

She's from MN, a small rural state that outside of Midwest no one knows. Biden, Booker and Harris are much wider known.

cory booker and kamala harris are liberal bomb throwers that pander to the crowd. Have done virtually nothing in congress other than play to the cameras.

To combat trump you need dry folky communication. Klobachar destroyed Kavanaugh and made him apologize to her - booker/harris spent weeks trying to get that moment and just acted like clowns.

Obama only serve 4 years in Senate. All you need is Sanders to win NH and Iowa and Harris win or Booker cement SC. Which spoils party for Biden or Klobuchar

Klobuchar is the worst Den candidate, maybe except Menendez. She is that bag.

She has 0 charisma, is a Terrible speaker, is Super boring & has no great policy ideas. She has no crossover appeal & will cause the lowest turnout for the Dem base in modern history.

Both Harris & Booker are mediocre to bad candidates but Klobuchar is the worst.

Klobuchar wins with solid margins in Minnesota because Minnesota is Dem leaning and she's a competent incumbent, not because she's some political juggernaut.

She'd be a horrible democratic candidate, because she's f**king boring.   Democrats need someone who will energize Dem leaning voters to turnout without being alienating to independents/center left voters, like Obama (and I would argue Bernie Sanders).

Klobuchar's legitimately moderate track record won't matter to center right voters, because, like Clinton, she'll be tagged as a radical socialist by Fox news.

So, she won't capture center right voters, and she won't energize turnout among Dems and indies.  She's a bad candidate.

No one knows who she is outside of MN. At least Biden and Booker and Harris will be tagged with Obama legacy

I've long thought Klobuchar would be the toughest candidate to challenge Trump.  I suppose she hasn't come forth because her Senate seat is up and she doesn't want to be in a position of promising not to run for President only to break them and run.

The campaign would have to be about competence and seriousness, and hope that Trump is perceived as incompetent and frivolous.  This was once more possible than it seems now.  Trump is seen as less of a clown and more of a guy that, however out there he may seem, is serious as a heart attack.  In addition, Trump has a series of serious policy accomplishments, and while one may not agree with those policies, Trump can defend them all to the point where people won't question his basic competence.  Who knows, though?  How much more about Trump's personal life is out there that hasn't come out?  This sort of stuff hasn't sunk Trump, but it does contribute to his image of being unserious.

Klobuchar would have beaten Trump in 2016 had she been the nominee, IMO.

Clinton like Kerry shouldn't have gotten the nomination. Gephardt should of been Veep, but Dean cost Gephardt that slot. Hilary wasn't the sure thing and Biden or Klobuchar should of challenged her.

Eh such naivety from the OP- firstly Klobachar isn't actually that different ideologically to Harris or Booker.

And she's still going to get a bucket of sh**t poured over her in 2020- every single Democrat from Joe Manchin, to Connor Lamb, to Amy McGrath have all been smeared, and attacked as 'weak on borders' 'a pelosi extremist' etc

Every Democrat nominee since 1988 has essentially had to deal with a barrage of attacks- the only ones decent at avoiding it did it through pure charisma

They're Senators in a party that have no areas of control in D.C- they have no other ability than to play to the Camera's.

As someone who works in a legislative environment I guarantee that 90% of Bookers and Harris work is still mundane committee work, and meeting constituents about rather boring issues.

I don't know what a 'liberal bomb thrower is' other than a talking point. Still the best Senators in the last 50 years where all called that- Paul Wellstone, Ted and Bobby Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey etc etc.
