Assassination attempt doesn't occur as Oswald is caught after shooting General Walker. Goldwater wins the Nomination like OTL but a former staffer for Kennedy who was close to him but anonymous leaks to the press about Jack's affair with Monroe and the short list of all the stuff he's suffering from. What's the result and why? (Before you ask, yes, this might be a TL of mine once I finish Episode III: Mr. Conservative Tongue ). Put in PV percentage if you feel extra confident.

Like Johnson, JFK is able to portray Goldwater as an extremist so he still wins, but its by a margin similar to 1960.

Probably about the same as the IRL map, except maybe Goldwater picks up a couple more Southern states (Florida in particular) and a couple of states with large Mormon populations (Utah, Idaho, Wyoming).
