Montana and North Dakota are too close to call, as my ratings have said for months now. ND moves to Lean R if Heitkamp votes against Kavanaugh.

Nobody will change their vote because of a single SCOTUS vote, because SCOTUS only matters to hard partisans. Polls have shown that nearly all undecided voters in Senate battleground states say it’ll make no impact on their vote.

Sounds about right for most of them...though Montana and Indiana are Lean R at best.

Not so much about changing votes, more about giving Cramer's base a fresh reason to turn out against Heitkamp.

He must be very lenient about what he considers "dead even." I think calling these 9 races "competitive", as he did a couple of months ago, would be more accurate for 8 of the 9 races.

These are the nine seats between Lean R and Lean D rated by most projections, so calling them all 'close' isn't a bad statement. Only, there is now a 10th in that category, but McConnel won't be admitting Texas is close any time soon.

Just wait until professional knife fighter Mitch McConnell realizes the McCaskill campaign has some weird recording or sex tape or something ridiculous on Hawley.

If he thinks he can win a knife fight in Montana and West Virginia this year he'll be pretty shocked too.

It's actually a reasonable take.

If the GOP wants to keep lighting money on fire in Montana and West Virginia, I am more than happy to continue letting them do so.
