Beyond that, no new AG would be confirmable except one whom Trump would like a heck of a lot less than Sessions.

Are you sure about that?  It's very conceivable that the partisan makeup of the next Senate will be the same as the current one, except with 1) no McCain, 2) no Corker, and 3) no Flake.  Three of the Senate Republicans most likely to criticize Trump on things like this will be gone.  Given that, why is it so unthinkable to imagine that Trump could win confirmation for someone with more personal loyalty to him than Sessions?

Because I would like to think that a few number of responsible Pub Senators (e.g. Portman), would not want to create the appearance that Trump can have a new AG who will be more amenable to damping down the investigations on various matters that relate to Trump's own conduct. Sessions should not be fired for the reasons that Trump has for firing him, and to confirm a replacement that would appear to help accomplish Trump's goals based on such reasons, is to in essence reward Trump for the improper firing, and help carry out Trump's improper goals. Make sense?

It's mind-boggling, the crap Sessions has put up with from Trump.

Don't get me wrong; people put up with that crap every day because they need their job.  People do, however, expect the Attorney General of the United States, to have enough in reserve to be able to say, "Take this job and shove it, Mr. President!"  Sessions has taken a load of crap from Trump, and it's at a point where people honestly wonder why he, Sessions, hasn't quit.

Trump is absolutely correct here. Politics should only influence people when those politics are favorable to Trump's interests.

LOL, Drumpf just retweeted his previous responses to Session's comments. What does he want to tell us with that? Jeff Mr. Magoo, you're fired (soon)?

Maybe he just doesn't care what Trump says anymore. Like if he was getting this in person all the time, I could see that. But it's a lot easier to just ignore tweets.
