This Judge's anger is totally justified.

Not as justified as the parents of the dead kids at the bureaucracy that ignored Cruz for a decade before he murdered their kids.  You'd think people would care about the complete failure of multiple governmental organizations that lead to the death of 17 kids, but clearly we don't.  I thought the shooting really made some people sit up and pay attention, obviously not.  Just more proof that the anti-gunners don't give a sh**t about gun deaths if they can't use them to push their wrong headed agenda.

I agree with you on this point, but this is really a separate conversation. 

There are all sorts of ways schools rely on "confidentiality" to keep the public from knowing what's going on behind school doors.  This is presented as in the interest of children and parents, but it's actually in the interests of school administrations and administrators.

I read the full unredacted report on the plane yesterday and it is clear and obvious that the Broward school district was using FERPA to censor things that make it look bad in its incompetent handling of Nikolas Cruz throughout his academic career. In response to this, the school district has now refused to release any more documents related to the shooting, in direct violation of the state's open records law.
