Virginia's House delegation is currently 7 Republicans, 4 Democrats as of 2017-19. The 2018 House midterm elections is expected to see Barbara Comstock, Dave Brat, Scott Taylor, and possibly Morgan Griffith and Rob Wittman to lose, which would see a Democratic majority in VA House delegation.

Bob Goodlatte and Tom Garrett are retiring.

How may VA House Republicans do you see remaining by the 2022 midterm elections (we don't know which Republican or Democratic president will be there)?

I say Wittman, Griffith, Brat, and maybe Ben Cline.

Morgan Griffth is in no danger-his district has swung hard to the GOP over the past 10 years or so.

Different story with Comstock, Brat, and Taylor though.

If 2020 is a major D wave, I could honestly see Goodlatte's replacement and Griffith being the sole holdouts.

Probably four. Comstock will obviously be gone, and Taylor will fall to redistrictig if he survives this year. Brat is ever so slightly favored to survive 2018 imo but will also likely fall to redistricting if he does.

If Democrats control the trifecta, three. Comstock, Taylor and Brat are defeated in 2018. Democrats draw an 8-3 gerrymander in 2022 taking out Riggleman. Otherwise, four.

I was going to laugh at the idea of Morgan Griffith losing, then I realized this was a bronz thread.
