As you know, Kane was recently elected mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. This isn't the first time a wrestler has gone political as Jesse Ventura can attest.

Clearly, the WWE is a great springboard for ambitious prospective politicians. Which other wrestlers would make a good politician?

Hogan and Rock can run in Cali and FL.

Interestingly, Kane's wrestling name was originally Angus King.

Jerry Lawler ran for mayor of Memphis at one point. While he's probably too conservative for the city, I could see him gunning for an exurban Congress seat if he was a bit younger.

The Vachons were long time NDP supporters - I think Mad Dog ran for them at some point.

Nick F'n Gage is a natural talent and I wouldn't be surprised if he runs for something at some point.

I could see John Cena making a serious bid for office in MA.

I could see Ziggler running as a socially liberal Republican. He covered the RNC Convention.

Bryan supported the Greens & progressive Democrats. I can see Daniel Bryan running in the future. Dude was not an insanely popular wrestler (Hogan/Rock level) but also one of the nicest guys (seemingly from outside), incredibly humble & is a huge environmental activist.

Kane (Glenn Jacobs) is already a Mayor in Tennessee. I think Booker T is contemplating a run to be a Mayor in Texas.

In all (sort of) seriousness, both John Cena and Dwayne Johnson seem to be very personable. I could see either of them winning elected office. That doesn't mean they should start by running for President though.

Kane is probably the best Libertarian candidate in 2024 or whenever he's not in power. Him being so far to the right economically and having such a libertarian background is more of a hurdle to getting elected than being a pro wrestler, in my opinion. He said his ideal is a stateless society.

Maybe the only solution for the LP is to elect pro wrestlers, lol. When's the next Houston mayoral election?
